About
About The Author…
I am a very extra-ordinary nobody blogger.
I am a Christian in life and a Libertarian in politics, which essentially identifies me
as a ‘Christian Libertarian’, but I could also be identified in many ways as a fiscal conservative or a member of the ‘Old Conservative Right’. To be a Christian Libertarian means that I believe that the Bible is truth and that Jesus Christ is Lord. In politics, I believe the proper role of government is the libertarian / freedom view, which means that I subscribe to maximum liberty and believe that the US Constitution should be followed as written and intended by the authors (what a concept) with the federal government being limited and restricted by it. I am essentially anti-state, anti-war (unless attacked), and pro free-market which fits me squarely within the libertarian / constitutionalists camp.
Outside of blogging for fun – I love being with my family, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, skiing, sports, and reading. I hope you enjoy my blog and visit often.
Cheers,
Jason Clayton

Why I started this blog…
In short, this blog is about libertarian/conservative politics. It is a simple attempt to expose our massive bloated government for the disaster that it is, and remind the people of the concept of Freedom. When setting up our current nation, the founding fathers based the US Constitution on the principles of personal liberty. The right to life, freedom, property, and the pursuit of happiness. This included everything from the worshiping of our Creator, to the possessing of private property, to the right to bear arms. To
maintain these God given rights, our founders set up a Constitution and rule of law that limited the federal government and judiciary in order to preserve and promote the benefits of liberty which are found in self government.
In essence they understood what we as US citizens have mostly forgotten. That government is inherently tyrannical if not restrained; the larger it becomes, the worse it is for the people under it. That by its very nature it will continue to grow and consume at the expense of the people’s personal freedom, thereby slowly chaining the citizens into a state of uttermost slavery and debt while continually promising to take care of them.
From the early 1900’s until now we have witnessed this enslaving process at alarming speed as the federal government has grown massively, with the US Constitution as nothing more than an after thought in our politicians minds. This must change before it is to late, and the burden of the welfare/warfare state causes a collapse of this great nation.
Because of these facts, this blog will be dedicated to promote individual liberty, constitutional limits on government, the free market, traditional family values, and a foreign policy of peace and nonaggression. My hope is that this blog will generate thinking patriots. People who think about our current government decisions and actions, and reject the slavery that is being forced upon them, thereby reclaiming true individual liberty. Please comment often and share your views. No one is correct on everything, so the more discussion the better.
