HR 45 – More Attacks on our Freedoms by the Liberal Left

2ndamendmentgunpermit HR 45 More Attacks on our Freedoms by the Liberal Left I do believe that someone forgot to tell the ‘liberal left’ about the Constitution. That, or top ranking law schools in the country are using it as toilet paper in the dorm rooms instead of instructing their students (that become our politicians) the proper role of government as defined by the supreme law of the land.

The latest attack on our freedoms comes in a little known bill called HR 45. It contains a direct assault on the 2nd Amendment and the right to bear arms as guaranteed by our Founders. Of course, it doesn’t directly outlaw firearms, but it most certainly limits our freedoms in this regard and provides a means for the federal government to confiscate all weapons if it deemed appropriate.

As you probably guessed, the State-Run media is ignoring it, in hopes that it will pass without the public knowing… Why you ask? Because they are in fact filled with ‘liberal fascists’ who desire nothing more than to control the people through government from cradle to grave. (The truth hurts – I know)

HR 45 contains many attacks on the 2nd Amendment, but I would just like to point out two of them in this article. The first attack involves a national firearms registry, so they can keep track of all citizens with guns. If that isn’t enough, the second vastly increases requirements for obtaining a firearms license! (I thought the 2nd Amendment was our license???)

Think of the logic to this… to execute your fundamental Constitution right to bear arms, you must pass requirements to do so? And what is the requirement? A written exam!!! How is this supported by the Constitution?

I hope your sitting down for this one…a section of HR 45 is below…

SEC. 102. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS.

(a) In General- In order to be issued a firearm license under this title, an individual shall submit to the Attorney General (in accordance with the regulations promulgated under subsection (b)) an application, which shall include–

(1) a current, passport-sized photograph of the applicant that provides a clear, accurate likeness of the applicant;

(2) the name, address, and date and place of birth of the applicant;

(3) any other name that the applicant has ever used or by which the applicant has ever been known;

(4) a clear thumb print of the applicant, which shall be made when, and in the presence of the entity to whom, the application is submitted;

(5) with respect to each category of person prohibited by Federal law, or by the law of the State of residence of the applicant, from obtaining a firearm, a statement that the individual is not a person prohibited from obtaining a firearm;

(6) a certification by the applicant that the applicant will keep any firearm owned by the applicant safely stored and out of the possession of persons who have not attained 18 years of age;

(7) a certificate attesting to the completion at the time of application of a written firearms examination, which shall test the knowledge and ability of the applicant regarding–

(A) the safe storage of firearms, particularly in the vicinity of persons who have not attained 18 years of age;

(B) the safe handling of firearms;

(C) the use of firearms in the home and the risks associated with such use;

(D) the legal responsibilities of firearms owners, including Federal, State, and local laws relating to requirements for the possession and storage of firearms, and relating to reporting requirements with respect to firearms; and

(E) any other subjects, as the Attorney General determines to be appropriate;

(8) an authorization by the applicant to release to the Attorney General or an authorized representative of the Attorney General any mental health records pertaining to the applicant;

(9) the date on which the application was submitted; and

(10) the signature of the applicant.

Unbelievable, this law has no regard for the Constitution and the intent of our Founders. In just the one section it attacks our rights in multiple ways. My compact list of questionable requirements is below.

  • Unprecedented Authority by the Attorney General!
  • Database of Firearm owners and all firearms in the USA
  • Photo of Individuals
  • Name, Address, Place of Birth
  • Clear Thumb Print of owners
  • Written Firearms Examine

If this is not a violation of the 2nd Amendment, I don’t know what is… It’s clear to me that the liberals in Congress want to control every individual who owns a gun and limit (if not remove) access by free Americans in obtaining firearms.

They obvious hate the idea of Americans being able to protect themselves from the tyranny of government, because their logic makes no sense and is a quagmire of harebrained ‘Marxist’ ideas.

Constitution 247x300 HR 45 More Attacks on our Freedoms by the Liberal Left What makes me sick is the nonsense that it is all to protect youth and reduce gun related deaths in America. Obvious, these brain-dead individuals don’t understand that the criminals who commit these crimes don’t follow the law, so they will obtain firearms the same way they do today, on the black market.

The only people who will be punished are law abiding citizens – who I might add – have the freedom under the Constitution to possess and own a firearm.

When will this lunacy in Government stop? When will our leaders submit to the rule of law defined by our Constitution? – It is up to us to make them submit to the Constitution, or be voted out of office.

Be prepared to vote in 2010, it’s time these bums pack their bags!

    Can you imagine if they had a written exam in order to vote. There would be no Democrats in office.

      I agree. A civil service examine should be required before running for office, as well as a test on the Constitution.

      None at the moment, but maybe one day…

      2010 is a huge election. We need to turn this around and elect true conservatives who will honor the Constitution.

      Cheers,
      Jason
