Is America Waking Up? – Global Warming is a Hoax?
Skepticism is growing in America that global warming is indeed factual and scientifically accurate. Many Americans now believe, as I do, that global warming is nothing more than a political scare tactic to obtain more money and power over the citizens in the name of so-called climate change.
A recent gallop poll on global warming shows 44% of the political independents (up from 33%) are skeptical of the media’s fanaticism on global warming. Many now believe that the media is exaggerating the entire concept of ‘global warming’ altogether. It does seem that Americans are beginning to wake up to the empty rhetoric of the ‘global warming’ mafia.
An excerpt from the examiner.com on the Gallup report spells out the details of the poll.
Here’s what Gallup found: The number of Americans who say the media have exaggerated global warming jumped to a record 41 percent in 2009, up from 35 percent a year ago. The most marked increase came among political independents, whose ranks of doubters swelled from 33 percent to 44 percent. Republican doubters grew from 59 percent to 66 percent, while Democratic skeptics stayed at around 20 percent.
What’s more, fewer Americans believe the effects of global warming have started to occur: 53 percent see signs of a hotter planet, down from 61 percent in 2008. Global warming placed last among eight environmental concerns Gallup asked respondents to rank, with water pollution landing the top spot.
Another recent Gallup study found that, for the first time in 25 years of polling, more Americans care about economic growth than the environment. Just 42 percent of people surveyed said the environment takes precedence over growth, while 51 percent asserted expansion carries more weight. That reverses results from 2008, when 49 percent of respondents said the environment was paramount and 42 percent said economic growth came first. In 1985, the poll’s first year, 61 percent placed a bigger priority on the environment, while 28 percent ranked economic growth highest.
Let me first say that I love the environment, and as decent people we should aim to take care of our country’s natural resources and environmental purity, but the maniacs of global warming have gone too far. It has now become a cult and is an attempt by the ‘political elite’ to confiscate more property of the American citizens, at the same time increasing the power and control of those in government.
America needs to wake up to this fact and fight ridiculous laws like ‘Cap and Trade’ that will do nothing positive for our country, and will most certainly kill jobs and badly damage the economy.

On what facts are you basing your belief that global warming is a ‘political scare tactic’? The link you provided was a complete non sequitur.
Also, I don’t think it’s unusual for perception and reality to be completely different. In Britain, crime has fallen recently while so-called “fear of crime” keeps on climbing. Popular belief (though I point out that, unless I’m missing something, the sceptics are still in the minority) is no substitute for evidence and facts.
Finally, is it surprising in this recession focused age for economic growth to be seen as a higher priority than the environment?
Crunkfish,
I recommend viewing this report of over 700 international scientists and climatologists who do not support Al Gore’s version of ‘man made’ global warming…
You are right, I was too kind… When legislators create laws over ‘false’ science (In my view) than it is more than a political scare tactic. It’s tyranny.
