Judge Sotomayor on Self Defense – 2nd & 14th Amendment
Below is a video of Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) questioning Judge Sotomayor, specifically on the question of self defense. The question to Judge Sotomayor is rather simple, “Do you believe Americans have a right to self-defense?” For some reason, she is hesitant to answer the question.
Does she not believe we have a right to bear arms as described in the 2nd Amendment and the right to life and liberty as defined in the 14th Amendment? Or is she just unsure of how to answer?… You decide.
