Government Health Care Lunacy – Simply Explained

washington 11 150x150 Government Health Care Lunacy Simply ExplainedThe idea of a government health insurance plan competing with the private insurance sector is so ludicrous and amazingly crazy that it blows my mind anyone actually believes the pile of rubbish coming out of the Democrat mouths in this regard. When the American people first heard of a potential government insurance plan many probably thought, “Hey this may work”, or even “This sounds like a wonderful idea.” Well… it is not a great idea and will be an outright disaster, unless of course you desire a completely government run system from beginning to end that is underfunded and forces out the best and the brightest doctors in the business

Sadly the absolute end result of a government insurance option is exactly this, a government run system, and I believe it’s probably the end desire of those of the Democrat party who are pushing this plan. I hope to use this post to very simply explain why it will never work as they are endlessly promising.

Private Insurance must run a profit to survive – Government does not

The first point is very simple to understand. In the private industry a company that desires to stay in business and provide jobs for it’s employees must always run a profit. If they cannot run a profit they will eventually go into bankrupsy and will have to either restructure their debt and continue business profitably, or they will be forced to close up shop and go out of business completely. This is absolutely not true for any government agency. If you follow the local news at all or do any research into your own government, you will find that they almost never produce a profit, are twice as expensive as estimated, and are almost always underfunded. In fact, currently our government cannot even sustain itself on taxpayer money, but must borrow from other countries to stay ‘open for business’. (to the tune of 1.8 trillion!)

What does this mean for health insurance? It means that the government run insurance will not have to maintain a profit to survive, and will most likely cost much more than taxpayer funds being collected to pay for it. Now I ask you…, how in the world would a private business that must make a profit compete with a government business that does not have to run a profit? Answer: It cannot! Plain and simple. What will happen is the government program will crowd out the private industry and eventually replace it completely. (It’s not rocket science, connect the dots) Anyone who tells you different is lying to you. (Including your own President) Remember that.

Government Insurance Plan will make the rules for the Private Insurance Plan – How can this work?

medical symbol 121 150x150 Government Health Care Lunacy Simply ExplainedWhen you were growing up, did you ever play a game with your friends when half way through the game they decided to change the rules, because your team was winning and they were loosing?  Well, simply speaking, this is exactly what will happen within the insurance industry if government gets involved. With government making the rules for the private insurance companies and having it’s own skin in the game, would it not be surprising for them to change the rules of the game to give themselves and edge? (Think of the corruption that will spring up in this scenario??) Does any thinking American actually believe that government will keep a level playing field for both the private sector and the government sector?? Of course not! The private industry will have to complete with the government industry while the government is making all the rules of the game? How is this fair competition? Answer: It is not! and will never work. It is not possible for a private industry to compete fairly and ethically with the government… it just can’t happen.

End Result?

It doesn’t take a thinking patriot to figure out that the end result of a government insurance plan competing with private insurance plans will end up creating a 100% government run system. It probably would take a few years to put all the private companies into bankruptcy, but this will definitely be the end result because of the simple facts above.

Now, government has already proven it’s unable to run social security, medicare, welfare, stimulus programs, and the economy, etc. Do we really want them running our health care as well?… I think not.

Cheers Thinking Patriots,
Jason
