Cap & Trade Bill Passed in the House – Cap & Poverty Here We Come!

As you probably already know, the ‘Cap and Poverty’ bill has now passed the House with a vote of 219 - 212 with 8 Republicans defecting. If you read my earlier post, you would know the potential economic dangers this bill possesses. But our Democrat friends care so much about the economy and your pocket book, that they didn’t even read the bill!! Including a last minute 300 page addition! (No Surprise There) It is clear to me, that all these liberal Democrats desire is more power.

I ask you… Why else would anyone pass a 1200-1500 page bill without even reading it? They do it because they could care less about the people in this country and whether or not it will effect them economically. All they desire is power, and they will reward any half-brain idea if it supports their powerful special interest lobby. The real purpose behind this bill is more economic power for men in government to control the private industry. The result, less freedom and less economic growth, Guaranteed.

When you think of our ancestors and the blood they’ve spilt for our freedom, it makes you sick to see these self serving politicians in leadership. What happened to honesty, honor, and morals? They have forgotten who they work for, and are void of any principles. What I wouldn’t do for leadership with principles, a leadership that has the moral courage to follow the Constitution as written and preserve Liberty for the people.
